Kimberley Robertson, SLP, ATACP

Kimberly received her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of the District of Columbia and has completed the Assistive Technology Applications Certification Program at California State University, Northridge.  Kimberly now calls sunny San Diego home and brings experience in both the special education school setting as well as the clinic setting.  Her extensive experience includes working with children with Autism, developmental delays, hearing loss, and verbally challenged children requiring Augmentative Alternative Communication.

She has training in the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), behavior management through Autism Training Solutions, and is Intermediate Level American Sign Language proficient.  Kimberly especially enjoys working with young children and their families, focusing on child-led play based therapy to facilitate and enhance communication.

Allison Janusziewicz, SLP

Allison graduated from Washington State University in 2001 with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. After receiving her degree, she completed her fellowship year in New York City, and then traveled to San Diego to enjoy the sunshine. She has worked with a variety of clientele ranging from acute care, acute rehabilitation, and home health patients with communication and swallowing disorders to early intervention preschool students, home study students, and students in juvenile hall. She enjoys working with a collection of different students with diverse needs, and is continually learning, while engaging students, staff and parents.  Allison enjoys communicating with multidisciplinary teams, school staff, parents and other speech therapists in order to ensure the best service delivery for her clients. She loves to run, travel and enjoy beautiful San Diego.

Dana Tappen, SLP

Dana has been a part of the STS for several years. Previously, she worked as a speech language pathologist for several local school districts and early intervention agencies. She has also owned her own private practice and was a director of a Non-Public Agency. She graduated from San Diego State University with both her bachelor’s and master’s degree and later obtained the Special Education Advocacy Certificate from the University of San Diego. Dana also works with California State University San Marcos as a clinical supervisor.  She truly believes in a team approach, working together with family members and other professionals in order to foster the best possible outcome for the whole child. Dana is a Hanen® Certified Speech Language Pathologist in: It Takes Two to Talk®, More Than Words®, and Target Word®. She has continued to further her clinical skills by receiving advanced trainings in the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Lidcombe Fluency Program, The SCERTS ® Model, and DIR®/Floortime™ Model. Most recently, she completed the Social Thinking® Clinical Training program with Michelle Garcia Winner and is now using the Social Thinking® methodologies as a part of assessment and treatment sessions. In addition, Dana has also participated in various trainings for Developmental Apraxia of Speech, Autism, language delays, articulation, and insurance billing & coding.

Kim Foster, SLPA

Kim holds an Associate in Science degree as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant from Grossmont College. She has been working as a SLPA since 2006 in a variety of settings, such as the First Five Early Intervention program, preschools, elementary and high school settings. Her experiences include providing therapy in the areas of: receptive/expressive language delays, articulation/phonological/oral motor deficits, auditory processing delays, reading/phonemic awareness, fluency disorders and social pragmatics. During summers, Kim enjoys directing and teaching speech camps. She is very passionate about the therapy she provides her students and aims to build a rapport with each child as well as individualize each session to their learning style. Kim continually seeks out educational opportunities to stay current on new therapy techniques. In her spare time, Kim enjoys being with her family and friends as well as reading

Courtney Rams, SLP

courtney ramsCourtney is a Colorado native and graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2015 where she received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Speech Language Pathology. Courtney has worked in trauma hospitals, acute rehabilitation centers, private homes, schools, and clinics throughout San Diego, Colorado, and Wyoming where she provided numerous therapeutic and diagnostic services for patients with communication and swallowing disorders. Although Courtney is our youngest therapist, she has extensive experience providing services to patients of all ages ranging from newborns to geriatric populations. In her spare time Courtney enjoys hiking, doing yoga, and learning about the latest research developments in the field of communication disorders.

Heather Miller, SLP

Heather received her bachelor’s from UC Santa Cruz in Language Studies with an emphasis in French and completed her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology in 2015 from California State University San Marcos. Heather has extensive experience working with children in schools with mild to severe speech, language, and communication challenges in addition to providing services to adults and geriatric populations in neurogenic clinics and acute care hospitals. Heather enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends in her sunny hometown of San Diego.
