Lyndy has been working with children as an Occupational Therapist for the past 16 years. She has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from UCSB and a Master's in Occupational Therapy from USC. Lyndy has designed, created and implemented a school wide sensory program and a program for young adults to learn independent living skills.
Lyndy shares a passion for working with children and loves the opportunity to make a difference in their lives and to assist them to become more independent individuals in society.
Talita graduated from North Eastern University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese. Talita loves working with young children as well as adults. Originally from New York, Talita moved to San Diego when she finished her degree. She began working with STS in 2011 and has been an important part of the team ever since.
Jason Zabala, APE
Jason is a proud graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University (B.S. 2008, M.A.T. 2012). He holds a Single Subject credential in Physical Education and will complete his Added Authorization in Adaptive Physical Education August 2015. Mr. Zabala was the varsity volleyball coach at Mission Bay High School from 2010 - 2014. He understands that becoming a successful teacher or coach extends beyond the classroom; his passion for living and modeling a healthy lifestyle through nutrition and physical exercise supports how he educates and encourages students to achieve their own health and fitness goals. Away from the classroom, Jason enjoys anything outdoors: fishing, surfing, snowboarding, exploring foreign countries, road trips, and beach volleyball.
Christina Votrian, APE
Christina is a graduate of California State University at Northridge where she received her BA in Physical Education and her Physical Education credential. She worked as a PE teacher for 13 years before going back and getting her Adapted PE credential. Christina also has a credential in PE in the state of Oregon where she worked as an elementary PE teacher before coming back to California to work in Adapted PE for Specialized Therapy Services. Christina has worked with students from preschool to college age for 30 years, but she finally has her dream job working with students with special needs. Christina keeps active walking, hiking and riding her bike around the San Diego where she loves being outdoors enjoying the lovely weather her in San Diego.
